Maybe it’s worth hearing what he actually says at a venue like that? He didn’t write the blurb after all.
I don’t expected a “reformed” Farkas to be a socialist Farkas, I expect him to hold the same core beliefs and political position he held previously but actually try to work with others and not be a completely disruptive dink. I think it’s fair to give him a chance to prove he could be that, and I don’t know what good ragging on him for still being a conservative is going to do.
If we want conservatives to stay away from populism and actually hold reasonable positions that appeal to more than the fringe (which in turn benefits us all) we actually need to give them a chance to do that.
