I found both to be pretty good in my area, although I would have random times with Telus where my internet was unusable even with resets. It was so wonky I couldn't even run a speed test.
I also found Shaw router to be better - there's a certain spot at my table downstairs where I can't get reception.
But I think it depends more on your location than anything so try both out and see?
