Until....Green Label. Read an article about JW stuff and the Green got a great review. Read some more and the Green is very different than the other JWs. Its a blend of only single malts 15 year +, so not really a "blend" and it's not peaty.
Anyways, bought a bottle, tried it. Excellent stuff. Better than Blue. Almost no smoke, more of a highland honey malt. And it explodes with flavours like a good single malt would. Nothing like the boring Black Label.
Anyways, for $70 its a really good buy.

If you haven't tried the gold, I've had the flights a couple of times, and always thought that the gold tasted better than the platinum or the blue.
