Certainly Hughes is still the likely top pick but would it be unthinkable for Kakko to supplant him? I'll put the odds at 20% but rising.

Certainly not unthinkable. Kakko is putting on a show at the worlds. And, They have some good young centers that they can kind of take Kakko as the Taylor Hall replacement. Think of the money saved they can use elsewhere.
The closer it gets to the draft, I think the more realistic the idea becomes.
