Updating the NCAA...

Mitchell Mattson (Michigan State) : The Spartans have played 22 games so far (7-12-3). Mattson has only seen action in 9 of them. He still has yet to score his first college point.

Demetrios Koumontzis (Arizona State) : The surprise team of the NCAA this season, the Sun Devils have a 16-9-1 record through 26 games. They could be the first independent team to qualify for the NCAA tournament since 1992. Last weekend, they swept their weekend series against Boston College. They didn't fare so well this weekend, dropping two on the road at Cornell. Next weekend will be another challenge for them as they visit Boston University.

Koumontzis had an assist on Saturday night, which was his first point in 8 games. He currently has 1G/10A through 26 games.

Emilio Pettersen (Denver University) : Denver has been on a tear recently, winning 7 straight games, pushing them to a 14-4-2 overall record.

Pettersen is quietly and consistently putting up points. He had 2 assists this weekend, staying at a point-per-game pace, with 5G/15A in 20 games. He's second in points on the team and has the most points among freshmen.
