Sadly there are millions of people in the world that agree with him, many of whom grew up an era where the very large majority of terrorist attacks were grossly committed in the name of Islam. I am not offering any sort of excuse for their views but in the internet/social media age dating back to even before 9/11 its all they have been exposed to.
