I keep thinking that last year was a mulligan in Parson's development.
I think we're going to be talking about him very seriously as the backup on the big club as early as this year. I believe in this kid and think he's going to be leapfrogging the pack far sooner than we're giving him credit for. This will be a very interesting camp this year as he has to prove last year really was an odd aberration in his development. He's definitely the kind of person that will want to set the camp on fire, if he has the ability.
I don't want to rush him, but I think him playing with Smith for the final year of his contract will really help shape out our back-end going forward.
