No it doesn't. The weather is terrible but that said it's not like Winnipeg or Edmonton are any better. It's kind of amazing how much nicer the weather is a few hours south like Lethbridge or Medicine Hat. The lone bright spots are that we typically get less snow than most major northern cities in Canada and the US and a fair bit of sun.
I really like Calgary. It really is a great city as it's clean, it's modern, it's safe, etc but I kind of get tired of the weather apologist as it's a damn cold city. I think you can still love the city and not like the weather as every city has their negatives and in Calgary it just happens to be the weather. Nothing to be ashamed of as no city is perfect.
