It's been a strong weather situation all autumn.
We've had 3 bomb cyclones so far, this atmospheric river and the rain hasn't let up. Also, all these nice new sensastionalistic media tropes used to fall into either "El nino" or La Nina".
It was known all year this was going to be a double dip la Nina year and this is traditionally what happens. Higher than usual storm rates.
Having said that, this atmospheric river is a new thing I haven't seen the likes of around here. It doesn't stop. Doesn't let up.
Vancouvers locked in now with all highways closed.
On the island, I'm guessing anything north of Langford is a no go.
