Shyamalan self-financed Split, and he probably provided McAvoy with a relatively large percentage of profits. I'm sure that the major cast of Glass has some kind of back end deal too.
I managed to avoid spoilers on Split, and didn't know it was a sequel until the very end. That surprise alone has me interested in Glass.
