Default Drastic changes in LA

Selling didn't seem like the best option given the circumstances, so the Kings have moved some pieces around to see if we can garner some chemistry.

To Los Angeles
Tyler Seguin
Carl Grundstrom
2022 2nd owed (first to be procured by the Sharks before the draft)

To San Jose
Roman Josi
Alex Barre-Boulet

This one hurt a little, as Josi is going to re-rate as a monster, but I've always liked Seguin, and watching the last game against the Flames, it looked like he has not lost a step. Grundstrom and the 2nd offset some of the drop in quality from Josi.

To Los Angeles
Mark Giordano
Jack Finley

To Washington
Christian Dvorak

Dvorak is doing really well in the SIM, and I think that he will get better IRL as the Habs figure things out. Seguin coming in made him expendable, and Gio is my Josi replacement. That contract is an issue if he doesn't re-rate well, but that's only an issue for one year.

After it's all said and done, it's swapping forward strength and defensive strength, and playing the lottery. The 2nd rounder is a 2nd rounder, and Grundstrom and Finley are both prospects that like to throw their weight around. I'm hoping that translates into good DF/CK ratings going forward. Looking for some of that skating correction in Tampa Bay that worked so well with Point and Cirelli (for Finley)!
