Even then, that's more just circumstance of him being our only "verteran" AHL goalie. Doesn't really speak to his value as a prospect.
Also, he didn't play any games last year despite a few minor injuries to Smith and Rittich.
Dressing to be the backup is one thing, but I doubt he will get any starts unless Rittich or Talbot suffer a long term injury.
