I fly up to 4 segments a week and haven’t ever had that happen to me. So that sucks, I can’t imagine sitting on a runway for 4 hours.
My rule of thumb when it comes to flying is if someone offers you something free count your blessings, take it and carry on. I never look the airline gift horse in the mouth; they would charge you for air if they could.
