But guaranteed, there's going to be a lot of scrutiny in the coming months over the role that social media played in this attack, and my guess is they (twitter, facebook, reddit) know that they're going to come off looking awful. Both parties could decide to put a lot of the blame on them, so if they suspend Trump maybe they can at least minimize some of the Democratic outrage.

I see no way that the major tech companies, starting with Facebook arent going to get broken up like Standard Oil, a long overdue move, they know it and are trying to manouver for leverage or at least a bit of good will.
