Coming back to this, 12 teams would be something that could help draw more youth fans. Aside from being in places that lack teams right now - therefore is a market to grow by default - it would make the league seem more legitimate if making the playoffs actually required more effort than simply not being the worst team in the league. It would make games have higher stakes, and give more merit to winning the Grey Cup.
