I am curious what the total financial damage of the Arizona Coyotes has been over the years. It has got to be close to $500 million in cumulative losses by now. Legitimate question, is there is a sports team in the world that has lost more money than the Coyotes?

They had an average attendance of 14,000 and an average tv audience of 8200 this past season. These are actually improved numbers over what they had in recent years. I get that the NHL likes the potential of these big American markets, but I just don’t understand how this is profitable for anyone.

Don’t get wrong. I’m glad they found another investor to put their money into this team. I think it is great there is a team in the Pacific that doesn’t have the budget to field a competitive team. It is also hilarious to me that despite how garbage the Coyotes are, they have a better record over the last 10 years than the Oilers. But at some point there should be a breaking point.
