Took the train to the game a few years back and remember it was incredibly packed due to rush hour. I'd imagine driving via Uber, etc... at that time of day might be even more of a nightmare. We took the BART, so as mentioned above that might be your best move and then transfer.
There was a cool theatre in Oakland called the Fox Theatre. Really cool setup, maybe check and see if there are any cool bands playing during your time there.
