Seems that each year (4 years), the sports get more and more 'out there'
Watching yesterday (or the day before, who can tell one day from the next), and skateboarding is on. I decided that I didn't really want to watch 13 year olds be awarded Olympic medals for skateboarding, so I flip to the other channel. And there I find surfing. I'm like 'what,? Surfing is in the Olympics now?' So I start watching that until I realized that I had been watching for more than 10 minutes and all I saw was waves rolling in - not a single attempt to get on their boards and actually do something.
So I reluctantly turned it back to one of the old, tired sports like field hockey or something.
The Olympics are awesome, but sometimes they are... well, bizarre.
