Nah. More stars. More twang. The only people really “getting into” a “powerful voiced” Canadian anthem are the geriatric crowd. “My word, Jack, this anthem has given me the feels! It reminds me of how patriotic I felt during the War of 1812.”
Canyon’s was the best it’s ever been. Quick and dirty with minimal flair.
If I have to hear another anthem singer who wants to hold a note for a few seconds and show us the pipes every time, I’d rather we just cancel the thing all-together.
