Based on stat watching, it looks like Nodler's development may have been stunted by rushing to the NCAA too soon and then being force-fed minutes on a bad UMichigan team.

His 8 points in 2019-20 as an 18 year old was sixth amongst forwards in team scoring.

His 11 points in 2020-21 as a 19 year old was the third-highest in overall team scoring.

Even on UMass, he's still one of the youngest forwards at 21 years old. There are 11 forwards on that team that are older than him.


Between Nodler, Koumontzis, Kuznetsov, Boltmann, and Pettersen, all showing signs of having stunted development by jumping to NCAA as soon as they turn 18 years old, the Flames should be rethinking their NCAA development approach
