I know the OP is looking for ideas for what to do around the holidays, but for anybody wanting to do something different with your family this weekend (or next) there is the Christmas Market at
Spruce Meadows. Crafts, food, ice carving, etc. Kids can go for free. Could be a good alternative to the taboo sexpo for those of us with more conservative parenting styles lol.
