Honestly, not that big of a disruption to your yard. Might have to overseed or even resod if they have to cut out a larger area for an access box, but its not going to be that big of a mess and its all worth it.
I have now upgraded all the way to their gigabit plan and its great - full ~960 up and down and never have any issues with it.
