Woodstock 2011 Poland, was said to have over 700,000 people.

Watching the documentary in the OP, it was a miracle that Woodstock was not a huge disaster. They had to change venues with 3 weeks remaining and were totally unprepared for the number of people that showed up.
Love Parade had an estimated 1.4 million people. Unfortunately 21 people died and that was the last Love Parade.

Having been to many festivals around the world, I'm honestly surprised their isn't more deaths at these things. While they are very organized and 99.9% of the people there dont' cause problems, I've been in some absolutely wild overpacked crowds during peak hour while everyone is drunk and rolling, and felt fear many times.

I went to Tomorrowland in 2016 and got caught in a massive crowd of people bottlenecking in an extremely poor exit and there was nothing the staff, police or crowd could do. I didn't hear any news stories about that, but I'm certain many people were injured that night.

Terrifying the feeling of an ocean of people pushing you from behind....
