The studies don't
show that, as it is inherently unshowable. It's purely conjecture. And it is the backbone on which many of the studies draw their conclusion.
As others have said, I am not going to simply go somewhere else on a Wednesday night for pizza. What I
am going to do, is spend more on travel.
It is impossible to determine how much of the foregone entertainment money will get spent locally, but the answer is undeniably: less than 100%.
