Short fat guys who run like the guys playing over 60 slow pitch need to be hitting for power and not dinking singles all over the field. If he can't slug at least 200 points better than his average the singles and walks are not as useful because he clogs the base paths.
I've grown to appreciate Jansens more power based approach where he's fine with hitting 220 if he can still get the extra base hits. Plus he's still has a high walk rate.
