Smith was either in a 1A/1B or a back-up situation for most of his career. It's not a bad thing. Most NHL goalies fall into that area. Right now, I wonder if he can even be a reliable 1B though.
Both of our goalies are unknowns at this point, but one has been trending up and the other down.
