Potential early season lineup could have looked like this:
Roberts - LaFontaine - Theo
Ranheim - Killer - Makarov
Carey Wilson? - Sutter - Reichel?
Hunter - Otto - Stern?
Chopper - Musil
Macoun - Suter
Kyte - Natress/Yawney
Man, that 92 team was sort of all over the place. On paper they should have been so much better but it seemed like there were too many square peg/round hole scenarios.

Yeah. I only heard it 2nd hand from a season ticket holder who seemed to reveal good information from time to time. Like I said, I didn't want to think about the Nieuwendyk rumor because I was young and he was my favorite player. They knew details on a potential deal for Lindros, which I didn't hear similar details about until a few years ago, so it got me starting to wonder if they were on to something with Nieuwy too. Nieuwendyk for Lafontaine and Sutter? The Flames would have needed to add.
