Wow! Talk about a what-if scenario. I had never heard this Nieuwy rumor before. If this trade played out for 91-92 season, you would have to think that dud of a year would have gone a little better for the Flames. Does Dougie still get traded? Potential early season lineup could have looked like this:

Roberts - LaFontaine - Theo
Ranheim - Killer - Makarov
Carey Wilson? - Sutter - Reichel?
Hunter - Otto - Stern?

Chopper - Musil
Macoun - Suter
Kyte - Natress/Yawney

Man, that 92 team was sort of all over the place. On paper they should have been so much better but it seemed like there were too many square peg/round hole scenarios.
