Personally I say we can stop using spoiler tags on Monday - once opening weekend is over we should be pretty safe and you are putting yourself at risk if you start looking around and still haven’t seen it once the weekend is over.

The more I think of it they actually explained why Captain America returned on the bench instead of on the platform. The portal has to be open but you don’t have to come back through onto the portal.

Nebula opened the portal so Thanos could come through but he actually didn’t come on the portal, he came through on the ships outside the Avengers compound.

So with Captain America he did come back at the time when Bruce opened the portal but he chooses to return on the bench instead of on the platform.
