Buying from an AD is obviously safest. You can expect authorized dealers to discount by 20% or more on most brands except for the most popular models. I've found the people at Calgary Jewellers nice to deal with.

If you're willing to buy pre-owned - you'll save a TON that way, I suggest the Sales Corner (http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...eadt&frm_id=32) and TZ Showcase (http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...eadt&frm_id=71) at Timezone.com - a watch enthusiast site. Just be sure to check references.

There is a Canadian site - www.canwatchco.com that is okay although it doesn't get a ton of traffic.

Online, it's tough to beat the prices offered by Zeetan at www.collectorstime.com. Zeetan is in Malaysia but don't let that scare you. He's very well known and respected as a fair trader. Expect to pay GST for watches imported from outside Canada as well as PST if it applies where you live.

One word of warning, you should assume that the manufacturers will not honor the warranty for watches bought from gray market dealers.
