Also am wondering what this might do to Calgary's chance of hosting the 2026 Olympics. Both events are the same year and both require significant government funding (Olympics much more) and there may not be an appetite for that much of a cash outlay for both events.

They played games inside domes in 1994. Louisiana Superdome was one, iirc. They put natural grass in for that.
And the women were
pissed that they had to play on turf.
