I don't know what the difference between a private and a public course is as far as pace of play goes? There should be no difference. My home course is public and has a 4:07 guarantee before noon. Also, you said
first group of the day. If you can't play a clear golf course in 3:30 as a four ball, how did you put it, gtfo the course.
