The answer to me with CFL attendance is to lower ticket prices to where every game is sold out. If it’s $5 a ticket, so be it. Build a family friendly, exciting event with a full house every game. Build up that audience and adjust prices up over a few years.
The Stampeders every year see their attendance decline and at this point it’s just a vicious cycle. I watch on tv and I don’t feel the excitement in the crowd to make me want to go to a game, people in the stands aren’t getting that atmosphere and are less likely to return, especially as prices go up every year.
Take a few years at a loss (and potentially a big loss) to get the buzz going again. It’s not rocket surgery. Same old same old isn’t working here.
