A 1960 Volkswagen Beetle . . . . . a poor family’s $100 graduation gift to their son in 1976. It was cream coloured but I don’t think there was a place on it without a rust spot or a dent. My father threw in a blowtorch for good measure, showing me how to heat the oil pan under the car to get it to work in cold weather. Nice. This is a 1960 Volkswagen ad.
