My dad purchased a 76 Ford Capri II brand new. It had a 4 speed manual with a 2.8l V6. Power brakes but no power steering. The advertised "high output heater" wasn't.
We called it the Long-nosed Henry.
I inherited it when I was in high school. My dad removed the catalytic converters, installed a true dual exhaust, headers, after-market suspension, front and rear spoilers. Mechanically, it was bullet-proof. Body? Haha. In the time I owned it, I took it to the body shop twice.
I sold it in 1988 after I bought an '85 Mustang Cobra. I still prefer driving that Capri and I'd buy a Capri if I could ever find one.
