Hit the Net is looking for a replacement GM for the Pittsburgh Penguins. We're looking for someone with fantasy league experience if not keeper league experience to take over and run the team over the next few years. The team is mid pack right now and with some work would be able to challenge in the coming years. League fees for the remainder of the season are waived.
Hit The Net is in it's 3rd season with a large number of committed GMs who are in it for the long haul. Hit the Net Hockey League consists of:
- 30 teams representing the 30 NHL cities
- 23 player NHL roster comprised of a minimum of 4 LW, 4RW, 4C, 6D, 2G and up to 3 roster spots of any position.
- 10 prospect level players in the minor league of each team
Points:
Skaters on the active roster get 1 point for a goal or an assist
Goaltenders receive 2 points for a win, 3 additional points for a shutout, and 1 point for an assist or goal
Prizes
Regular Season:
1st overall – $250 worth of prizes - Replica team jersey with player name and number, trophy
2nd overall - $100
3rd overall – Free entry into next season
Team getting the most points for each third of the season will win $50
Playoffs:
Johnny Bower Cup Winner - $150
Cup Finalist - $100
Conference Finalists - $50 each
We differ from most keeper leagues as we have full rosters and 30 teams. This isn't a simple 12 team league where everyone has a pile of star players. 4th liners and 6th Dmen who put up some points are important parts of the team as are up and coming prospects. We feel the breadth and depth of the league is a key differentiator and separates us from most leagues.

The Penguins roster has a mix of decent talent and a number of good prospects. With some wheeling, dealing, and general attention, the team has a good shot at making the playoffs this year and could be rebuilt for a run at the title.
