Leafs send Sam Gagner, Roope Hintz, and a 2nd round pick to the Blues for Jordan Staal. The Blues also send the necessary cap $ to Toronto for the rest of the season.

The Leafs were looking for an upgrade at second-line centre and Staal will slot in nicely behind Bergeron (once he grows up and decides to actually play this year).

We don't mind losing Gagner or the pick at all, although the loss of a stellar name like Roope Hintz will definitely sting for a while.
