Would he really listen to the Secret Service? This man is a fullfledge hero. Remember he would run into a school to confront the shooter regardless of whether he had his own weapon.

If he went into the basement of the White House, the only real reason was he was probably looking for that Pizzagate basement. There's no way he would be cowardly hiding from some protesters.
