We need to start hearing from all the bands that have signed off on the pipeline and recognize it as a way forward in economic growth with the rest of the country. These people matter too. I've heard just about enough from the hereditary chiefs.
I agree that the Government is going to have to push hard to get these through, they're letting these issues fester. A key sign that you've effed up is when both sides hate you and think you're on the other side. People will get over these projects almost instantly once in they're in the ground silently and invisibly generating value for the country (which includes all these FN bands). What people won't get over is the massive divestment and plummetting tax revenue to help us weather the upcoming recession.
