These two things please me. I have long maintained/complained that a team in McMahon would be dead on arrival.
And as much as having the financial backing of the Flames could be seen as an asset, I'm not convinced that they'd be able to sell soccer in Calgary. Without derailing this conversation too much, I'll just say that I'm thankful that the Flames and their current PR/executive setup won't be involved.
