Looks like they grabbed some random chocolate truffle, cut it in half with a knife, sort-of pushed the needle in, and tried to 'profit' off the story with 15 seconds of 'fame'.

I ate a few Aero's that looked like that this year. The shape has changed. Might still be some old style ones out there, but just to clarify your above point isn't correct.
