Default Photoediting Tablet Recommendations

So, I have been using Photoshop for about five years now in order to create powerful digital environments in which to work with images of ancient manuscript fragments. It has proven extremely useful for detecting patterns of deterioration and for attempting reconstructions. I am now embarking on a new project using multispectral images, and I find myself thinking seriously about picking up an inexpensive USB/Bluetooth editing tablet to plug into my computer for editing photographs.

Does anyone use these things? And if so, can you make any recommendations?
