As other's have mentioned Pike Place is a must see, even if it is packed and touristy as hell, there are a few side alley/streets worth checking out. We really enjoyed The Tasting Room on Post Alley there to sit and enjoy a glass or two of wine.

Other things we saw:
- The Gum Wall: disgusting, easily the grossest "tourist" attraction I've ever seen
- Safeco: great place to catch a game, decent selection of beer on tap
- The Crab Pot: Huuuge line up to get in, but they have a takeout window with limited menu outside, had the Fish & Chips. Absolutely the best piece of fried halibut I've ever had, along with some of the worse fries/chips... so maybe just go for the fish.
- Barolo Ristorante: Had a very nice "fine dining" meal here, at a very reasonable price. Wasn't mind blowing, but I recall it was under a $100 for our meal with wine, so the price point was agreeable.
- First Starbucks: Pretty much have to see it.

EDIT: Like flamefan74 we also stayed at the Westin and got bent over on parking. Think it was $25-$30 a day to park in the attached parkade?
