as well adding the 23 goal scorer (Stastny) will limit opportunity for Backlund and Jankowski to reach their 18 goals. If somehow the Flames get a 23 goal RW Ferland would have trouble making 18.


Over the last season the Flames had very low injuries.

The Flames need 3 more top-6 players or at least Ferland level guys who are very solid top-9. Need to sign 2 and have someone make the same step forward as Ferland did.

You have Bennett jumping from 11 goals to 15. Not impossible but a big jump for someone who is getting moved down the ice-time.

Backlund has career highs of 22, 21 and 18 goals missing a total of 6 games in his career seasons.

PS Bouwer was a solid 20 goal scorer RW when the Flames signed him - 25, 21, 18 the last 3 seasons before he became a Flame.
