If you're looking for good food options I'd recommend heading over to chowhound and checking out their boards. Be it gourmet cuisine or the best hot dog cart they've usually got it covered. For street cart food (my personal favorite daily lunch choice) in the area around your hotel (and many attractions) check out midtownlunch.com.
And stand to the right on escalators!!! Damn tourists
