Ya, I'd try filling a sink with as hot of water as possible, and then opening the drain and see if that help get things going since some water is getting through. Bonus points if you have a garburator as turning that on can act like a pump and help push things through.
If you do call a plumber. Please please please let them know you've tried Drano - They'll have to adjust their safety measures accordingly.
