Follow up question

Really?

With NCAA and with the NFL, there's really no interest in any other football league in the States, probably the closest to breaking through was the USFL.

Frankly the only way I think it works is as a pure development league with no gimmicks playing in secondary markets. Get people excited about Joe Slingamoro the QB of the future. It also gives the NFL a better way to develop those later round picks or late bloomers instead of just using them as training camp fodder or living tackling dummies.

If I was running the XFL, I would suggest that two teams could share a roster, negotiate with the Player association for a salary cap or even 2 way contracts.

Then you could market it as "The XFL the future of football, oh and watch Jose Conseco hit home runs at half time after the sack race"
