There is a thread on this somewhere......the answer will depend on what area of the city you live in.

It is always a personal preference, but I take our skates to no sweat on Macleod Trail near heritage.

As for the cheapest, who knows. Why bothewith going some place cheap. There is no worse feeling in the world that stepping on to fresh ice thinking you have sharp skates and the place you took them to did a crappy job.
