Having lost a parent when I was young and both parents at realtively young age, I can relate to this topic a lot. It really becomes a defining and formative event. Even today, I can't hear a phone ring without getting a slight feeling of dread like I am about to get shocking and tragic news.
The feeling of impending doom never really leaves you.
