According to the article it didn't sound like they agreed to certain percentage of the winnings. He agreed to be paid $3000 plus an unspecified amount of the winnings. It doesn't look like Matt Kuchar did anything wrong. Expecting 10% or even 5% from a big winning is crazy imo. Especially for a substitute caddy.

The caddy should learn from this and make sure he gets a certain percentage of the winnings in the future by having it in writing.
